Yes. I live in the middle of the Eixample, which is very good.
Would you like to move? Why and where to?
No, I am fine where I am.
Do you spend time in your neighbourhood and with your neighbours? Do you have the shops you need nearby (baker's, grocer's, dry cleaner's)?
Yes, a lot. For some shops, such as the baker's and the dry-cleaner's, it's a bit of a walk, but there is everything here.
As well as doing your daily shopping (if you do it) do you have places and services for all your needs?
Yes.
Do you stroll around your own neighbourhood for pleasure or do you go elsewhere?
I like walking around. In my neighbourhood and in other places.
Which are your favourite cinemas, theatres and clubs?
Both for cinemas and theatres, I look at what film or play is on, regardless of where it is on.
And which are your favourite restaurants, bars and cafés?
We have the best in the world, and I like tapas bars just as much as top-class restaurants.
Is there any public area where you like to go, to sit and chat?
To have a chat, the person is more important than the place. Normally I meet up with friends in restaurants.
When you have to act as a guide for visitors, where do you take them?
The old centre and to see the work of Gaudí.
What is the most appropriate, funny or surprising adjective you have heard to describe Barcelona? Which one would you use?
That it is a liveable city. I think it would be more so if we Barceloneans behaved in a more civic-minded manner.
Of where, between the sea and Tibidabo, do you have the most memories?
A son of mine lives by the sea, and I have good memories of being there, I like the old centre very much, and my two children went to school near Tibidabo. I have good memories of the city from one side to the other.
Which is the best place (a park, a café, a seat in the city) to have a romantic date, or to be able to whisper sweet nothings to a loved one?
Anywhere.
What colours or smells, when you see or smell them anywhere in the world, remind you immediately of Barcelona?
The colour blue, for many reasons.
When you have had to leave the city for a while, what have you missed most?
I always miss people. I am somebody who doesn't relate much to places.
Which of the changes that have been made in the city recently are you happiest with?
The renovation of certain zones in the old Chinese quarter.
What don't you like, and what would you do to change it?
I would like cement covered areas to be green. I would put more green areas in those areas which have been renovated.
Add anything you would like to say, and that we haven't asked
I repeat that we should make Barcelona a more civic-minded place.
