Statistical information is much more useful if we are able to progressively determine the magnitude of a characteristic, as this will allow it to be analysed over time, by location and by different sector-based contexts. 

The statistical database is a group of different statistical tables on different aspects of the city and its inhabitants, which has been built up over time.  

The catalogue is a summary of the statistics tables, ordered thematically, chronologically and by territory, which is also referenced with an internal code, thus allowing different sections to be requested by prior written request to the Department.
