La Capella is the space that the Culture Institute of Barcelona dedicates to new creative trends. In the last few years, its activities have centred on the organisation of exhibitions in the aim of bringing to the general public the most innovative works of artists in the city. It also promotes exchange programme projects with other cities, thereby helping to disseminate ideas from other cultural areas and bringing together artists connected to Barcelona in other contexts.

The exhibitions and activities generated by La Capella are committed to presenting a wide variety of proposals offered by today’s artists. Accordingly, very diverse activities have taken place there during the last few years, in an attempt to present a wide panorama of new creation in Barcelona. The focus of La Capella’s programming revolves around ideas in which audience participation is essential, as well as subjects and analysis that are able to generate debate and projects involved in local areas.
