The gencat web site is currently under construction in order to provide universal access.

We are working to adapt the entire web to the recommendations adopted by the World Wide Web (W3C) so as to eliminate the barriers that prevent the right of any person to access information and communication

  
       
    Accessibility guidelines  
   
  • Use of (X)HTLM, to create standard documents and a clean structure.
  • Positioning of content by means of CSS and without tables. Display readers for blind or visually impaired people read the document in a logical way.
  • Text size and colours can be modified with the navigation tools so as to adapt them to people with visual disabilities.
  • Alternative description of images.
  • The use of JavaScript (Fold-outs, chips, etc) is an option, not a requirement. An alternative is always provided to the users with JavaScript deactivated or old versions without DOM support.
