You can participate in your district either as an individual or as an organisation. Barcelona districts have various bodies for participation.
These have the highest level of responsibility for consultation and participation in the districts, with representatives from entities, organisations, associations and sector participation councils in the district, as well as those present in their capacity as individuals.
The open public meeting on the state of the district is to stimulate regular communication between the District Council and the citizens. It is open to all members of the public and can deal with any theme. A request to discuss a theme must be presented in writing, in advance, with the name of the person or entity making the request, and details of the topic to be covered.
Working groups, sector councils and councils for facilities and services are other participation groups which formulate studies, develop, and follow up on, projects and activities in the districts, neighbourhoods, sectors or facilities.
