Not far
from the monument to Vayreda you will find a bust in
memory of the geographer Francesc Carreras Candi (1862-1937).
The bust is the work of the sculptor Jacint Bustos
Vasallo.
Francesc Carreras Candi
He was a historian and geographer; his study "La Ciutat
de Barcelona" is one of the the fullest on the city,
and was the first history of the growth of the city
of Barcelona, appearing as one of the volumes of the
series Geografia General Catalana.
