The Umbracle
is a structure built out of brick and wood. Its naves,
supported by fine iron columns, are full of plants,
mostly tropical, which normally grow in the shade of
great forests. Inside are some benches wehere visitors
can sit down and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
The Umbracle was built for the Universal Exhibition
of 1888.
